Amy Rodriguez
Amy Rodriguez has been a professional educator for 28 years. Ms. Rodriguez has served five culturally and economically diverse Arizona school districts as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and principal. As the current Director of Curriculum and Innovation for the Avondale Elementary School District, Amy oversees the Pre-K to 8th Grade instructional program. Amy’s leadership skills include strong communication and collaboration with students, teachers and administrators to continually improve instructional results through data-driven decision-making. Her knowledge of State Standards, Title Programs, ESL, media evaluation and grants management has made her a well-rounded facilitator of professional development in all areas pertaining to elementary education. Ms. Rodriguez is active in professional associations; she has received numerous awards for her work, including the Westside Impact Teacher of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year. Amy earned her B.S. (1991) and M.Ed. (2011) from Northern Arizona University. Besides teacher and administrator Certificates, she holds K-12 Endorsements in English as a Second Language, Reading Specialist and Library – Media Specialist.
