Courtney Acosta is the legislative and policy liaison with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). Courtney works closely with ADE’s internal experts to inform legislators, external stakeholders, and other government entities of the agency’s operations and priorities. Previously, Courtney worked as ADE’s policy coordinator and executive assistant with the Office of Policy and Government Relations.
Before working with ADE, Courtney interned with the Arizona House of Representatives and staffed both the Education Committee and State and International Affairs Committee. Her experience interning with the Arizona Legislature informed her of the governmental process and the impact of state-level decisions on local education agencies.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications from the University of Arizona’s College of Social and Behavioral Science.
