Emma Chavez


Emma Chavez has 32 years’ experience in education. Prior to joining Arizona Department of Education, she served as a District Administrator, Principal, Assistant Principal and classroom teacher for grades Kindergarten through Sixth. As a school Assistant Principal, Principal, and District Director she supervised not only 21st Century Community Learning Center - Title IV, Part B (21st CCLC) programs but also schools with the School Safety Grant. She has lived and worked in 13 different states in public and private schools alike to include the Territory of Puerto Rico. She holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Bilingual Education and Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
